However, the bill fails to increase the number of positions the court is allowed to employ. This would mean that the court would have to pull a clerk from another county; therefore it would not have any fiscal impact on the court If the intent of this legislation was to increse the number of deputy clerks the Supreme Court is allowed to employ by one, then an amendment must be made that increses the number of deputy clerks statewide from seventy-two to seventy-three.
