Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The purpose of this bill is to clarify that classroom teachers who renew the certificate each 10 years are to continue receiving the $3,500 supplement, to reimburse their expenses for each renewal and to continue the supplement for classroom teachers who accept employment as a principal, assistant principal or other instructional leadership position.
The estimated cost of this proposal for the 2011-12 year is $81,099.
