Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
Senate Bill 96 appears to be mostly a language clean up bill. The only major cost increase that was set forth was the requirement that as of January 1, 2013 that all prosecuting attorneys become full time. Currently, eight counties have part-time prosecutors. The cost associated with these eight counties converting to full time would be $200,320. These counties are Braxton, Brooke, Calhoun, Summers, Taylor, Tyler, Wetzel, and Wirt.
