Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):

    The nine members of the committee would be required to meet at least once during each quarter. This would result in 36 trips at an estimated round trip distance of 200 miles. The current mileage rate is 42.5 cents per mile. The total mileage costs would be $3,060. Lodging for 36 nights at $160 is estimated to be $5,760. The estimate for meals is $1,260 at $35 per day. The committee members would serve without compensation.
