A BILL to amend and reenact §20-7-1a and c of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to providing an increase in compensation for natural resource police officers. For Com. Sub. FUNDING REQUESTED TO BE FROM GENERAL REVENUE Listed below are Salary and Employee Benefits funding increase amounts required for FY 2012 in excess of the current FY 2011 amount if legislation is passed. Total FY 2012 Salary Increase, Including Employee Benefits $406,742 Total FY 2012 Longevity Increase, Including Employee Benefits $384,250 Total Increase for FY 2012 $790,992 Listed below are Salary and Employee Benefits funding increase amounts required for FY 2013 in excess of the current FY 2011 amount if legislation is passed. Total FY 2013 Salary Increase, Including Employee Benefits $695,572 Total FY 2013 Longevity Increase, Including Employee Benefits $798,000 Total Increase for FY 2013 $1,493,572 Annual additional costs over and above the current Fiscal Year 2011 of this legislation for FY 2012 through 2013 are as follows: FY 2012 $ 790,992 FY 2013 $ 1,493,572 Additional annual appropriation funding of longevity costs would be necessary because increases in longevity pay continue to occur as officers attain additional years of service.
