Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Based on trend analysis of 2001 - 2010 timbering licenses, an annual revenue increase of $60,750 is anticipated from implementation of this amendment as introduced.
In FY2010, an estimated revenue increase of $32,850 is anticipated from implementation of this amendment. The majority of this additional revenue will be deposited in June 2009, too late in the fiscal year to have a effect on costs.
In FY2011, the first full year of implementation, this additional revenue can be used to fund an Office Assistant who currently handles timbering licenses and whose job function is covered by the Logging Sediment Control Act. This position is currently funded with General Revenue funds.
Any remaining additional revenue can be used for general office costs.
