Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to clarify that the Public Employees Insurance Agency Finance Board may offset annual retiree premium increases with amounts held in the trust.
This bill is simply a clarification that, along with employer contributions and retiree contributions, consideration of other available funds, including available funds in the Retiree Health Benefit trust, are an intrinsic part of the Public Employees Insurance Agency Finance Board annual calculation of the minimum annual employer payment. Therefore, there is no fiscal impact.
