Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
Information for multi-county candidates is currently online and a process can be put in place to search those filings. However, single-county circuit court judges and all magistrates do not file in our office, therefore we would have to receive that data from the counties and hire temporary employees to enter that data into the CFRS. Current data storage and backup configuration would not support that level of data and upgrades would need to be made.

Memorandum
Additionally, bill page (2) line (2) states "Provided, That if a candidate has not provided the donors' occupations, the Secretary shall make a good faith effort to determine those occupations." What would be the definition of "good faith effort" in those cases and would the Secretary be required to inquire regarding and obtain information that it is the responsibility of the candidate to provide originally?
