Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
It will decrease sales of liquor and revenue to the state as the tax imposed is 5 cents per ounce of liquor on a bottle of liquor that would be add cost to a bottle of liquor most likely passed on to the consumer.

Memorandum
The bill amends the wrong section of the Chapter 60 code and would be inneffective. Taxing liquor by the oounce is likely incorrect. Other code sctions would need to be amended as well. Please contact the Tax Department for detailed numbers or effects on the decrease of sales.
