Based upon our research, this proposed legislation would affect approximately 286 troopers residing in 13 counties: Berkeley, Cabell, Hancock, Harrison, Jefferson, Kanawha, Monongalia, Morgan, Ohio, Pleasants, Putnam, Raleigh and Wood.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


According to the U. S. Census Bureau's 2000 census (updated 2005) 13 counties have a median monthly homeowner cost that exceeds $700 per month. There are approximately 286 troopers from a total of 678 living in these 13 counties.
