The cost of this legislation is minimal to the Division of Juvenile Services. This legislation specifically addresses Felony arrests of individuals 18 or over. The Division of Juvenile Services does not house those individuals unless they commited their offense prior to their eighteenth birthday.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
As the legislation is written there will be no additional costs to the Division of Juvenile Services. If the legislation is changed to include all persons regardless of age who are arrested on a felony charge the costs would be minimal (collection supplies and mailing costs) unless the Division were to be designated as an Adminstrative Center.
Memorandum
The status of incarcerated Juveniles when they reach the age of 18 should be addressed or whether incarcerated/convicted Juveniles should be included.
