Memorandum
This bill in its' present form indicates that adding a judge to the twenty-third circuit would increase the judgeships in that area to five. However, the Legislature added a judge to the twenty-third circuit in 2006 with the passage of Senate Bill No. 11. If the sponsors of this legislation intended to increase the judgeships in the twenty-third circuit again then this bill needs to be amended on page three, line twelve by striking out the word "five" and inserting in lieu thereof the word "six."
