A BILL to amend and reenact §20-7-1 c of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to providing salary parity for conservation officers relative to members of the West Virginia State Police. Listed below are Salary and Employee Benefits funding increase amounts required for FY 2008 in excess of the current FY 2007 amount if legislation is passed. Total FY 2008 Salary Increase, Including Employee Benefits $503,782 Total FY 2008 Longevity Increase, Including Employee Benefits $562,908 Total Increase for FY 2008 $1,066,690 Listed below are Salary and Employee Benefits funding increase amounts required for FY 2009 in excess of the FY 2008 amount if legislation is passed. Total FY 2009 Salary Increase, Including Employee Benefits $130,368 Total FY 2009 Longevity Increase, Including Employee Benefits $ 55,632 Total Increase for FY 2009 $186,000 Listed below are Salary and Employee Benefits funding increase amounts required for FY 2010 in excess of the FY 2009 amount if legislation is passed. Total FY 2010 Salary Increase, Including Employee Benefits $ 4,992 Total FY 2010 Longevity Increase, Including Employee Benefits $60,512 Total Increase for FY 2010 $65,504 Annual additional costs over and above the current Fiscal Year 2007 of this legislation for FY 2008 through 2010 is as follows: FY 2008 $1,066,690 FY 2009 $1,252,690 FY 2010 $1,318,194 Increases in longevity pay would continue to increase annually as officers obtained additional years of service. Due to the lack of available data, we are unable to accurately estimate the amount necessary to fund conservation officer pay increases as the state police are awarded increases in the future.
