Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The effects of this bill would have a negligible effect on the Alcohol Beverage Control Administration. While information gathered by this agency indicates that minimum markups of liquor at retail is generally above the proposed increase to a 27% markup. The biggest effect would be on private clubs. In areas of competition, the markup to private clubs is below the proposed 27% markup. The markup in these areas in many cases is the current minimum 10%.
