SECOND DAY

[Mr. Speaker, Mr. Thompson, in the Chair]



The House of Delegates met at 12:00 noon, and was called to order by the Honorable Richard Thompson, Speaker.
Prayer was offered and the House was led in recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The roll being called (Roll No. 581), and 86 members having answered to their names, the Speaker declared the presence of a quorum.
The Clerk proceeded to read the Journal of Monday, June 15, 2009, being the first order of business, when the further reading thereof was dispensed with and the same approved.

Second Reading

At the respective requests of Delegate Boggs, and by unanimous consent, all bills on second reading, coming up in regular order, were read a second time and advanced to third reading with amendments pending and the further right to amend as follows:
S. B. 2001
, Making supplementary appropriation of Lottery Net Profits to various accounts,
S. B. 2002, Making supplementary appropriation from General Revenue to Department of Administration,
S. B. 2003, Making supplementary appropriation from General Revenue to various accounts,
S. B. 2004, Supplementing, amending and increasing items from State Road Fund to Department of Transportation,
S. B. 2005, Making supplementary appropriation from General Revenue to Department of Education and the Arts,
And,
S. B. 2006, Making supplementary appropriation from State Excess Lottery Revenue Fund to Department of Education,
Leaves of Absence

At the request of Delegate Boggs, and by unanimous consent, leaves of absence for the day were granted Delegates Cann, Ellem, Ennis, Evans, Hatfield, Hutchins, Ireland, Manchin, McGeehan, Miley, Phillips, Shook, Shott and Tabb.
At 12:10 p.m., the House of Delegates adjourned until 12:00 p.m.,Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
