A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §18-9D-20, relating
to prohibiting the School Building Authority from funding any
new construction that would result in the bus travel times of
students in grades prekindergarten through five exceeding
thirty minutes.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-9D-20, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 9D. SCHOOL BUILDING AUTHORITY.
§18-9D-20. Certain new construction funding prohibited.
Effective the first day of July, two thousand seven, the
School Building Authority may not fund any new construction project
that would result in the bus travel times of students in grades pre-kindergarten through five exceeding thirty minutes.
