A BILL to amend and reenact §18-5-33 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to equalizing pay for all high school sports head coaches.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §18-5-33 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
 §18-5-33. Board may fix special salary schedules.
The board may fix special salary schedules for the superintendent, assistant superintendents, teachers and other employees so long as the salary schedule does not conflict with the general provisions of this chapter: Provided, That every high school sports or athletics head coach shall receive equal remuneration.




NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to equalize pay for all high school sports head coaches.
