SHORT TITLE:
Relating to imposition of municipal B & O taxes on health maintenance organizations.

CODE REFERENCE: Amend and reenact WV Code § 11-13-3

PROPOSED LAW PRESENTED TO THE COMMITTEE: The purpose of this bill is to exempt health maintenance organizations (HMO) form B & O taxes on the gross income it receives from its enrollees, or from their employers for health care items or services provided by the HMO. this exemption does not extend to property maintained by an HMO inthe form of rent or royalties.
