A BILL to amend and reenact §29-1-1b of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to continuation of the Division of Culture and History.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §29-1-1b of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. DIVISION OF CULTURE AND HISTORY.
§29-1-1b. Continuation of the Division of Culture and History.
The Division of Culture and History, together with its citizen's commissions, shall continue to exist pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, until the first day of July, two thousand five seven, unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished pursuant to the provisions of that article ten, chapter four of this code.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the Division of Culture and History until July 1, 2007, pursuant to the West Virginia Sunset Law. This bill is recommended by the Joint Committee on Government Operations.
