A BILL to amend the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-4-2b, relating to pay incentives for teachers who teach in their core field degree.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-4-2b, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 4. SALARIES, WAGES AND OTHER BENEFITS.

§18A-4-2b. Pay incentive for teaching in core field degree.

The State Board of Education shall establish a pay incentive of two thousand dollars for each teacher who teaches in that teacher's core field degree.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide a $2000.00 pay incentive to teachers who teach in their core field degree.
