A BILL to repeal article twenty-two, chapter seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty- one, as amended, relating to ridesharing.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
§1. Repeal of article creating the ridesharing act.
Article twenty-two, chapter seventeen-c of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, is hereby repealed.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal the Ridesharing Act that exempts ridesharing arrangements from common carrier laws, workers' compensation laws, county and municipal licenses and taxes, minimum wage and overtime compensation laws and other requirements.
