COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 18(By Delegates Sponaugle and A. Evans)

Requesting the Division of Highways to name the bridge on Route 33, crossing the South Branch Potomac River east of Franklin, Pendleton County, bridge number 36-33-33.85 (36A165), as the “Dr. H. Luke Eye Bridge.”

    Whereas, Dr. Harry Luke Eye was a practicing physician in Franklin, Pendleton County, West Virginia; therefore, be it

    Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Legislature hereby requests the Division of Highways to name the bridge on Route 33, crossing the South Branch Potomac River east of Franklin, Pendleton County, bridge number 36-33-33.85 (36A165), as the “Dr. H. Luke Eye Bridge”; and, be it

    Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to have made and be placed signs identifying the bridge as the “Dr. H. Luke Eye Bridge”; and, be it

    Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the Department of Transportation; and to Dr. Harry Luke Eye and surviving relatives.
