Charleston, WV - On Monday, Senate Democrats announced they were debuting a package of bills to address public education. Amidst confusion and mixed messages on whether or not the May session will address education, Senate Democrats are no longer waiting for leadership to start leading. They will introduce eight bills on Monday.
“We are ready,” said Senate Minority Leader Roman Prezioso (D-Marion). “We have a plan. Since there’s no agreement between the leadership of both houses nor anything coming from the Governor, we are offering compromise bills that nobody can disagree with. If we really want to discuss a solution, here are eight great ideas. Let’s talk about them.”
Please find attached the text of the proposed bills that will be introduced next week.
